Tweakpin

Description

Tweakpin is for freelancers and studios who build websites for clients.

When your client needs to review the site you built, send them one link. They click anything on the live website and leave their note pinned right there, with no account and no browser extension. You answer each note under its pin, they approve, and every request stays organised on the page it belongs to, instead of scattered across emails, messages and screenshots.

Only the clients you invite see Tweakpin. Your site’s other visitors, and search engines, see nothing.

This plugin does one thing: it puts your Tweakpin line in the footer of every page of your WordPress site. Paste the line, or just the site id, into Settings → Tweakpin and save. Empty the box and save to take it off again.

The plugin adds nothing else to your site and does no tracking of its own. To anyone you have not invited, search engines included, the line shows nothing.

You need a Tweakpin account and a site on it. Each site’s line is on your sites page at https://tweakpin.com/sites/.

External services

This plugin connects your website to Tweakpin, a service run by Accuro at https://tweakpin.com. It is needed so the people you invite can see and leave feedback on your pages.

Once you save a line, every page of your website loads one script from Tweakpin (the address in the line, for example https://tweakpin.com/s/yoursiteid.js). Each visitor’s browser fetches it, which sends Tweakpin the visitor’s IP address, browser details and the page being viewed, as any web request does. Nothing is loaded while the setting is empty.

For a visitor you have not invited, the script adds nothing to the page. When someone you have invited opens your site through their invitation, the notes they pin, what they write and the page they pinned it on are sent to Tweakpin and kept there, so you and they can talk them through.
